Danis Kool's Poppin Awards for 2009

Had this written up a few weeks ago, this year the awards will be a lot shorter and straight to the point. Again, if people disagree with my awards then write your own.

Most Improved:

People to watch for in 2010:

Young kid = heaps of potential
- Alan
Young kid = heaps of potential

He managed to get to this level being one of the only poppers in Canberra, he will be moving to Melb in 2010.
- Yovan
Finally on beat, finding his own identity.
- Green Shirt Simon
Green shirt ftw!
- Kelvin
Funky as!
- Henry (ICE)
Will be returning from his USA (Vegas) school study trip. High expectations for you!
- Gino
Competitions doesn't do him justice, watch him in the clubs or when he mucks around.
- Aionic
Not because he beat me at Montanasa, hopefully we will see more of him next year.
- Nish
People have called him the next 'Lama' enough said.
- Karla
Probably the most funkiest female popper in the country. Again competitions dont do her justice.

Melbourne poppers will know him, hasn't yet travelled inter state yet. Some China flavour in the house.
- Jack Ding aka Dingaling, Jack Lite
Another person that competition doesn't do him much justice. Has one of the wickedest footwork and balance in Australia.

Battle of the Year:
Poppin Jack Vs Boogalama @ Dancekool 24!
Im pretty sure many will agree, God Tier vs God Tier, Young Lion vs Old Lion (though Jack has been in the game for a while as well). Lama still has it! Crazy stamina! You had to be there to feel the vibe and the intensity of the battle. Youtube doesn't do it justice.

Routine of the Year:
Keanu and Alan @ Hyped Up
Routine was simple yet technical, good choice in music, really hyped the audience up.

Popper of the Year:
Poppin Jack
Obviously, he really stepped up his game this year and it showed. I know a lot of people dreaded matching up with Jack. He was in the scene when i got into the scene in 2003-2004. Shows that he has patient.
